Singapore is a multi racial country. For example, in singapore hawker centre they sell many types of food. Malay hawker sells halal food and serve with many versions of traditionally tamil food. Chinese stalls also introduce malay ingredients and cooking methods. This will make the cuisine of singapore rich and cultures attraction. And did you know that ice cream was a chinese food? It was found by an famous Italian explorer when he was roaming around china then the recipe was brought back to Europe and it then becomes the ice creams that we are eating now. book review

   The title of the book is Percy Jacksons And The Lightning Thief. It is written by Rick Riordan.
   The story is about a boy named Percy Jackson, he is a half boy and a half god. He always thought that he is just a normal kid but until one day, he vaporised his maths teacher and things started to go wrong. Now, he spends his time fighting with swords, battling with monsters and going on a huge quest to find the thief of the lightning bolt and return it to Zeus, his father with his friends. on the quest, he fought many monsters and tried to keep himself and his friends alive. In the end, he managed to return it to Zeus and know who was the one that stole the lightning bolt. He then stop the gods from starting a war and have peace.
   I like the book as it is very interesting. Even if I have the chance to change the book, I would not change anything about it. I would recommend this book as it is very interesting and makes u want to read more. I think that those who like adventure stories should read that book.

International friendship day is a day where all races come together and celebrate it. From that, we can know more about their languages, food and not to forget, their culture. We could also have a chance to see their costumes too!

movie review

title: Frozen
Describe the most exciting/memorable part of the movie. Why do you like it?
The most exciting part is that Anna's heart frost and she tried to save her sister- Elsa. I like that part as it was very touching.

If you could rewrite one part of the movie, which part would it be and why? How would you like to rewrite it?
if I could rewrite, I would tell Elsa the reason why she could not come out of the room and had to wear gloves.

reflection of english lesson

   So far in English lesson, I enjoyed it very much as Ms foo made the lesson very interesting and fun Ms foo always show interesting puns after the lesson ends if the next subject teacher have not come. Even if we do not get the pun, she would patiently explain to us. she taught the whole class lots of things.

   I felt very disappointed with my common test result it was only a border line pass. Even though it was a pass, I was expected to have scored more. The phrase book help a lot too. It help me to brush up my English and vocab and in one year or a term, I could learn many difficult words. it could let me know current news too. I took my difficult words from newspaper.

   I think the teachers could help me by having more of the support programme. Even though Mdm tan said that it was jus a option weather Ms Foo wants to do it or not. I find it very useful as it helped me to revise a lot. Of cause, I also need to play a part by revising and doing assessment at home or during the free times. reading newspaper will help too as I have said earlier I could learn vocabulary and know the current news.

                 Dear Jesse,
              How are you studying in England? I am writing this letter to tell about the riots in Little India recently.
                 The incident happened on 8th December at around 9.30 at night. a private bus runs over a man who was thirty-three years old at the junction of race course road and Tekka lane. After a few minutes later, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force was informed of this serious road accident.
                     After a few minutes, the ambulance and the police came, the police blocked the whole entire area. Because of that, lots of people gathered around the scene in just a blink of an eye. The dead body of a worker was extricated from under the bus. The mob has started and pelting emergency officers with concrete blocks and beer bottles.
                  The police calls for Special Operations Command to arrive. They force the crowd to disperse.   After that, police take control of the scene. High visibility patrols deployed to prevent rioters from regrouping.
                  I felt unsafe nowadays its like not really Singapore anymore. I think that Indians should not do this to Singapore as Singapore did not do anything to them. I really felt very pissed off when I heard about the news. they even harmed the innocent police. Luckily, justice have long arms and caught those Indians that is there during the riots. I really hope that none of these incident happen again. 
                        When are you graduating and coming back to Singapore? we missed you so much! Please reply me ASAP!!
